Tokyo Lord's Faith Church was established in 2008 under Christian Gospel Mission (CGM)<\/a>, which has spread to more than 70 countries around the world.

At first, it was a small church started by a group of acquaintances, who built up the church little by little after service. Therefore there's a warm and family-like atmosphere flowing through Tokyo Lord's Faith Church.

Today, we have members from a wide age range, and not only that we are also a diverse group of people with different characteristics, skills, personalities, ways of thinking, who journey through varied past and future paths.

It is like the world described in Isaiah 11:6-9,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.

The only thing in common is that the truth we learned from the Bible lives within each of us.

As John 8:32 states, \"The truth will set you free\", the truth of Christ, when learned and practiced, does not bind the person but rather sets him or her free, bringing out the best of his or her individuality.

And it is because of God's love and the warmth of the family-like atmosphere that flows through the church that the richness of individuality can coexist rather than repel each other.

We hope that such a world will spread not only within the church, but also throughout the region, the country, and the world.<\/p>\n<\/div>

History of Tokyo Lord's Faith Church<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
1978<\/td>Pastor Jung Myung Seok began to preach the gospel in Korea.<\/td><\/tr>
1999<\/td>Christian Gospel Mission (CGM) was established.<\/td><\/tr>
2008<\/td>Lord Banseok Church was established in Koto-ku, Tokyo under the umbrella organization of CGM.<\/td><\/tr>
2018<\/td>Due to increased number of members, a new church building was purchased in Edogawa-ku, Tokyo.<\/td><\/tr>
2019<\/td>Lord Banseok Church is renamed as Tokyo Lord's Faith Church.<\/td><\/tr>

Our umbrella organization<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Our umbrella organization, Christian Gospel Mission (CGM)<\/a>, started in 1978 with Pastor Jung Myung Seok alone, but has now spread to tens of thousands of people in more than 70 countries around the world, including Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pastor Jung Myung Seok was born in Korea in 1945 during the chaotic postwar period. As a child suffering from poverty and hunger, he had to face the reality of life when he was just an elementary school student. Thus he began to turn to God with a universal question that every human being ponders: \"What is the meaning of life?\"

One day, a preacher came to the village where Pastor Jung was born and raised, and began to share the teachings of the Bible. When he learned that the Bible is a message from God to mankind, he became absorbed in reading it. He began to ask each and every question he found in the Bible through prayer. Pastor Jung continued his life of religious training for 21 years until he reached the age of 33. By then he had read the Bible front to back for more than 2,000 times.

Toward the end of his training, while praying about his future path, he dreamed that he was consulting Jesus Christ about his career. After visiting various workplaces, Jesus gave Pastor Jung a calligraphy brush in the dream. Through this dream, he realized that it is a revelation to \"spread the word of God as taught by Jesus,\" and decided to go to Seoul, the capital city of Korea. For the first two years, only a few people listened to Pastor Jung's preaching on the Word of God.
